Wedding Videos

Morgan Kirkham has been teaching me how to make videos like these for the past 8 days. I think this video journalist style is perfect for the type of wedding coverage I create with my photos. I hope to be offering videos for 2010 weddings. I need to do a test, anyone interested?

The petite madeleine represents the experience of being transported back in time by sensory memory. This plump little cake appears in Marcel Proust’s novel "À la recherche du temps perdu" (Remembrance of Things Past); upon tasting the cake the narrator is physically consumed by a flashback to a childhood memory.
When I read about the encounter with the petite madeleine, I instantly thought about the power of images to recreate the past and interpret emotions. In my approach to photography, I think about capturing not only what is happening in front of me, but also what it feels like being in this moment. I hope that people are able to slip into the scene of my images and relive whatever memory emerges.
